Step by Step Guide to Upgrading to Windows 8

Microsoft Windows 8 is finally out and can now be upgraded to or downloaded. Windows 7, XP and Vista users can simply upgrade to Windows 8 for only $39.99. But this is a limited time offer, from October 26th to Jan 31st 2013.

If you wish to upgrade to Windows 8 and want to know how you can do it, then you are at the right place as today we are presenting a step by step guide to upgrading to Windows 8. So check these easy steps out and start with the upgrading procedure!


1.      1. Download Windows Upgrade Assistant from HERE. After you are done downloading, launch it from your existing Windows install.



It will check if the apps and devices are compatible with Windows 8 or not, and will present a report for that.



Windows 7 users are provided with the option to keep files and apps, but unfortunately XP and Vista users do not have any such option.

           2. Click the Order button.



In review order, you can also order a DVD if you want for online order the online version only.



Enter the billing address.



Then choose the payment profile, you can either pay by credit card or PayPal account.



Finally, you have to simply confirm the order.





On completion of the payment, you will get the Windows 8 upgrade key which will also be sent via Email.

     3. Now the set up can begin the download process of Windows 8. It will require some time and will cover about 2GB of download, so make it a point that your internet connection is not on a limited plan as it would interrupt your process.



On completion of the downloading procedure, files for upgrade will be made ready.



4.       4. Now you would be provided with 3 options: to install Windows 8 now; to burn it to a DVD through ISO or a USB drive; or to install later.



On choosing the Install Now option you would simply have to continue with the the upgrade process and keep following the onscreen instructions.

On selecting the create media option, you can choose either a USB or ISO image. On creating an ISO, yo have the ability of even specifying the location where to save the file and the set up will create it.



Upon creation of the ISO, set you will once again be showed a product key by the setup.
